Authorized officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority seized various goods in the amount of 119,000 BAM at the Orašje-Srebrenik road (Arizona Market), as well as at the Rača, Orašje, Karakaj border crossings and the Doboj and Bijeljina customs offices.
Based on operational information, authorized officers of the Group for the Prevention of Smuggling and Misdemeanors, Department for the Implementation of Regulations of the RC Tuzla, checked the origin of goods on the road Orašje-Srebrenik (Arizona Market). On that occasion, a larger quantity of goods, 1734 pieces of clothing (T-shirts, jackets) and 14 pairs of footwear of foreign origin were found in 1 natural person, for which there was no legally prescribed documentation.
Implementing the Operational Work Plan and focusing on risky locations, border crossings and customs offices, authorized officials of the Group for the Prevention of Smuggling and Misdemeanors of RC Tuzla seized various goods at several risky locations. Thus, during the activities, they discovered 6 irregularities at the border crossings Rača, Orašje, Karakaj and the customs office Doboj and Bijeljina. On that occasion, a larger quantity of undeclared and hidden goods was found in various bunkers (branded sneakers, boat engine, welding machines), as well as goods for which special permits and approvals are needed. In the course of taking measures within its jurisdiction, specialized equipment (CT-30) was used, as well as vehicles donated by the US Embassy through the EXBS program.
For established illegalities, appropriate proceedings will be initiated against the perpetrator of illegal actions before the competent court.
