Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) authorized officials at the Klobok border crossing, between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, temporarily confiscated a large amount of undeclared textiles, the estimated value BAM 233,000.
During a detailed inspection of the import shipment of textile goods that arrived at the Klobuk border crossing, a large amount of textiles that were not declared to the customs authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina was discovered. These are 2,690 pieces of various textile goods (t-shirts, shirts, shorts, tracksuits, jackets), total market value is estimated at BAM 233 000.00. The goods in question have been temporarily seized with the issuance of a Certificate of Temporary Seizure, and appropriate proceedings will be initiated against the importer before the competent court.
When taking measures within their competence, the authorized officials of the ITA used specialized equipment, donated by the US Embassy in BiH, through the EXBS Program, as well as by UNDP/UNODC.
