Record revenues from indirect taxes

Since the establishment of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA), record revenues, out of indirect taxes have been collected.

Revenues from indirect taxes in 2021 amounted to 8 billion and 445 million BAM and are higher by one billion and 216 million BAM or 16.8% compared to 2020 when they amounted to 7 billion and 229 million BAM.  Compared to the previously record 2019, 460 million BAM more was collected.

In 2021, the ITA returned 1 billion and 526 million BAM to the economy, which is 227 million BAM more than the same period last year.

Net collected revenues that were distributed to users in 2021, namely the state, entities and the District Brčko, amounted to 6 billion and 920 million BAM and are higher by 990 million BAM compared to revenues which users  received from a Single account, in the same period in 2020.

SURPLUS OF REVENUE ENDED WITH THE ENTITY AND BRČKO DISTRICT

Every year, state institutions receive the same amount of funds from the ITA Single account, so it will be the same in 2021.

The amount of 780 million BAM has been allocated for the financing of BiH institutions.

In 2021, a total of 3 billion and 794 million BAM was distributed to the Federation of BiH, to the Republic of Srpska 2 billion and 93 million BAM and the Brcko District 210 million BAM.

The table below shows the total funds allocated to the entities and the Brčko District of BiH and their affiliates external debt for the period January – December 2021 compared to the same period last year.  All amounts are expressed in millions of BAM.

In addition to the distributed revenues in the table above, and on the basis of a special toll for the construction of highways and the construction of reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of BiH received an additional 216 million BAM, Republic of Srpska 142.8 million BAM and Brčko District 7.3 million BAM. The difference represents a reserve on a special account for toll in the amount of 0.25 BAM.
