Announcement Income from indirect taxes increased by 20 percent

Revenues from indirect taxes in eight months of 2022 amounted to 6 billion and 436 million BAM and are higher by 1 billion and 73 million BAM or 20% compared to the same period in 2021 when they amounted to 5 billion and 363 million BAM.

After the ITA returned BAM 1 billion and 367 million to the economy in eight months of 2022 on the basis of VAT refunds, the net collected revenues that were distributed to the beneficiaries, namely the state, the entities and the Brčko District, amounted to BAM 5 billion and 70 million and are higher by 665 million BAM compared to the income that users received from the Single Account for the same period in 2021.

Only in  August 2022, 906 million BAM of indirect taxes were collected, which is 138 million BAM more than in August 2021.

DISTRIBUTION OF INCOME IN JANUARY-AUGUST 2022

An amount of 574 million BAM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the period January-August 2022. The rest of the collected revenues from indirect taxes ended up with the entities and Brčko District. Thus, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received 2 billion 767 million BAM from the single account, Republic of Srpska 1 billion and 537 million BAM, and Brčko District 155 million BAM.

In the table below, we present the total allocated funds to the entities and the District Brčko BiH with the associated external debt in the period January-August 2022 compared to the same period last year. All amounts are expressed in millions of BAM.

In addition to the distributed revenues in the table above, based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 136 million BAM, the Republic of Srpska 90 million BAM and the Brčko District 4.6 million BAM . The difference represents a reserve in a separate account for tolls in the amount of 0.25 BAM.
