The Director of Public Revenue Office of the Republic of North Macedonia, Ms. Sanja Lukarevska and the Director of Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Miro Džakula, signed a Memorandum (MoU) of Cooperation.
Ms. Lukarevska emphasized that at the initiative of the Public Revenue Office, with the aim of reducing tax evasion, they are continuously signing Memorandums on cooperation with tax administrations from the region.
With this document, we will strengthen mutual cooperation, improve relations not only between the two institutions, but also between the two countries. This cooperation will also affect the reduction of bureaucratic procedures – said Lukarevska.
Mr. Džakula added that with this MoU, relations and cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened. Both institutions, as well as citizens, will benefit from this Memorandum. The MoU oversees cooperation of the two tax administrations, it will enable the exchange of experiences, the transfer of knowledge, the improvement of the work of the two tax administrations, as well as the encouragement of voluntary compliance with obligations, said Mr. Džakula.
The Indirect Taxation Authority will continue to sign this type of Memorandum of Cooperation in the coming period, with the aim of increasing cooperation with tax administrations in the region and beyond.
