Meeting of the ITA leadership and the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH was held, today (17.10) in Banja Luka. It was discussed about the improvement of cooperation between the two institutions.
It was concluded that both institutions should take an active part in the further promotion of the newly established simplification of the Authorized Business Entity – a status that gives the business community additional benefits, easier and faster implementation of all customs procedures.
The need for additional education of the business community in Bosnia and Herzegovina was also agreed when it comes to acquiring the status for all simplified customs procedures, such as local or home customs clearance, as well as authorized consignor and consignee. Acceleration of import and export customs clearance of goods would be more evident if a larger number of companies from BiH possessed ITA approvals for performing simplified customs procedures.
The representatives of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted to the ITA the initiatives of the business community regarding the need to amend legal and by-laws in the field of VAT and excise duties.
